Our Story

Paradigm Memory Care Consulting was created from a simple belief: Dementia care can and should be better.

For founder Tina Timmons, this work is personal. After her father received a dementia diagnosis in 2017, Tina began to study not only how dementia progresses, but how lifestyle, environment, and purposeful engagement could slow decline and improve quality of life. Her journey led her to the Montessori method for dementia care, an evidence-based framework proven to encourage independence, reduce stress, and restore dignity.

Today, Paradigm blends Tina’s clinical social work background, industry expertise, and lived experience to deliver consulting that transforms both systems and lives.

Do the best you can until you know better.

Then when you know better, do better.

Our Approach

Montessori for Dementia

We use hands-on, observational, person-centered techniques that empower individuals to do as much as they can, safely and meaningfully.

Phased Implementation

Real change requires clarity and sustainability. For organizations, we roll out improvements in phases to avoid overwhelming staff and ensure long-term adoption.

Education & Prevention Focus

Emerging research continues to confirm Tina’s personal belief: lifestyle truly matters. Our work not only strengthens care environments but also improves long-term health outcomes.

Our Values

Respect

Every person has inherent worth and capability.

Purpose

Engagement is not “activity” it is dignity.

Clarity

Simple processes and clear communication transform outcomes.

Partnership

We collaborate with staff, families, and leadership at every step.

Consistency

Sustainable change depends on daily practice, not one-time training.

Our Vision

To raise the standard of dementia care across communities, homes, and healthcare systems by empowering caregivers with tools that work, and transforming the lived experience of those with dementia.
